Physical Education
The department looks develop the students physically, intellectually and social as part of the national curriculum. Lessons provide students with the opportunity of participating in, and understanding, a variety of physical activities.
The Department also aims to promote the following:

Key Stage 3
The Key Stage 3 curriculum provides a range of challenging and meaningful opportunities for students of all abilities. Students will be encouraged to achieve their potential in a caring and supportive environment.
Sports and activities that pupils will have the opportunity to participate in throughout the year:

Football, Basketball, Rugby, Hockey, Table tennis, Dodgeball, Long ball, Curling, Boxing
​
Pupils will also receive the opportunity to participate in sports and activities off-site, such as:
Swimming, Outdoor Action Adventure, Badminton, Fitness suite/Gym, Frisbee Golf


Key Stage 4
Students continue to develop their skills previously learnt within key stage 3 PE.
​
They will continue to have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports and activities.
Alongside core PE. Pupils will be able to gain qualifications in the following as option choices:
NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Sport
